Classic Sales was started in 2008 by Carolyn Miller. She began it by selling buildings that her brother, Kenneth Miller, was constructing. Classic Sales is proud to present storage sheds built by Carolyn’s brother, Kenneth Miller. It is an Amish/Mennonite family business.
Here is how it all started 17 years ago in Southern Indiana. Carolyn’s father wanted to have a home business. Storage Sheds was what he lived and breathed. He had all the expertise need to build many of them. But with 9 children to support, money was never something that was readily available. But because he believed in his heart he could do it he borrowed $3000 from a neighbor lady and built his first shed and set it in the front yard to sell it and get more orders.
It burst into a big business. Several years later Carolyn’s brother-law, Milan Miller, joined her father in a partnership business of Miller's Mini Barns. Her dad was able to live his dream of having his home business with his 4 sons and 1 son-in-law as well as himself working at home delivering the best quality built sheds in the industry. But it is more than quality sheds. It is above and beyond service to each and every customer.
In
September of 2003 Carolyn’s parents and two brothers moved to Missouri. Milan
Miller bought out Miller's Mini Barns. Kenneth Miller at age 21 then pioneered Classic
Buildings. Out in the open
air he built his first shed and hoped and prayed that he would be able generate
customers from it and have his own business. Miraculously it took off really
well and in a few months he built a 800 sq ft facility to build these sheds.
About 2 years later he expanded to a 7500 sq ft building. No more than 3 years
later he is manufacturing these sheds out of a 15,000 sq ft building. We are
proud to say that quality has always been of utmost importance and has
increased as the years went by.
In
November 2009, so that she could take on the Sales Manager position for Classic
Buildings, Carolyn sold Classic Sales to Terry Brooks. After graduating from St
Louis University, Terry was a high school Latin teacher for 3 years and then
became a self-employed State Farm Insurance Agent for 18 years in Maryland
Heights, MO. In 1985 he sold his insurance business and became the Founder and
Principal of New Covenant School of Ministry.
In 1991 he
became an internationally (USA, Canada & UK) known motivational speaker and
sales trainer. In 1994 Terry moved to England where he was a self-employed
Management and Sales training consultant. After living in England for 12 years,
Terry returned to St Louis with his wife, Jayne, and her son, Terry whereupon
he secured employment as Behr Paints as their international management and
sales trainer. At the end of July, 2009 Terry began working as a sales
consultant at Classic Sales with Carolyn Miller and is presently its
Owner-Manager.
